There's an Adafruit library for anything, we know. They're like chinese products: they make everything, of every kind. Problem is, those libraries are awful just like chinese products: which doesn't mean that they aren't working well enough. They're just awfully poorly written! New versions pop up quite often. Old bugs are not solved, but new stuff is poured in. Optimizations or at least "code written using some intelligent approach" are nowhere to be seen: we know, who cares since we've got plenty of powerful MCUs and power to waste (that is: who the fuck cares about the future of the planet or children? ) Consistency is just a dream. Add to this all that hardware comes in quite a lot of "slightly different variants" (thanks to the chinese again) and... all the code you'll find at Adafruit becomes, well, hardly usable. I mean: it's good as a starting point, and helpful indeed, and I often stumble upon their libraries and work on them. But... to think that somebody will actually use that code for a working, sell-able product, meant to be durable and fail-safe, well, this scares me to death Who cares, anyway. My dream is to see google crap die, and tesla cars crashing upon each other - and possibly children
